SCAT Enterprises is an international, automotive aftermarket company with two branches: SCAT Crankshafts and Procar by SCAT. Our work has included graphic design, media buying, e-marketing, website design, website management, trade show display coordination, swag design, and social media management.

catalog

SCAT publishes three catalogs annually, which the midnight oil group organizes, lays out and designs.  With each catalog covering hundreds of SKUs across nearly 50 pages, producing each catalog is a lengthy endeavor that the midnight oil group begins organizing months before publication date in order to produce a top-quality catalog ahead of deadline.

web design + development

SCAT required a simple landing page to act as an umbrella site for all three consumer brands.  We designed a sleek, pared down homepage and included a few supplemental informational pages so that the history of SCAT Enterprises could be conveyed without detracting from our main objective: to encourage people to visit the sub brands’ pages.

e-commerce web design + development

Procar by SCAT had a nearly non-functional website, so a complete overhaul was in order.  The goal was to create an e-commerce-ready website that would function as an inquiry list rather than shopping cart until the client was ready to flip the switch.  Over the course of 6 months, we organized the company’s 1700 SKUs, edited product photos for nearly every single item, laid out brochure pages as well as e-commerce pages, wrote product descriptions that aligned with the catalog verbiage and input product details into a custom WooCommerce platform.  The end result has been an evolving site that is able to morph with the brand’s changing needs (e.g. adding a custom order form, switching from inquiry to shop feature, revising navigation, adding additional search functions).

website management

While we have had the pleasure of completely redesigning two of their four websites, we provide ongoing maintenance for all four brands.  This work includes posting blogs, redesigning sliders, updating prices, eliminating discontinued products, adding new products, and replacing outdated information.

social media identity

In order to eliminate confusion between and build brand recognition for each brand individually, it was essential that each have its own recognizable social media identity.  Through consistent graphics and visual identity, we were able to ensure that each brand was standing on its own.

We manage Instagram and Facebook pages for all three SCAT brands, as well as a Twitter for SCAT Enterprises. We share photos/videos that SCAT’s customers have taken, articles the brands are mentioned in, and information about trade shows SCAT will be attending.  As the social media agency for SCAT, we also field and respond to customer inquiries on a daily basis. We work to connect with loyal customers and fans, people who haven’t heard of SCAT, and similar brands to build brand awareness and strengthen loyalty.

e-marketing

We execute SCAT’s email marketing from conception to reporting; we design the template, create the content, source the images, distribute the email and provide post-delivery analytics.

advertising

Between the three brands, SCAT advertises in dozens of trade publications annually.  We manage all media placements, design creative, oversee approvals and submit to the appropriate outlets each month.

trade show display

In anticipation of a busy trade show season, we produce at least one (but as many as four) custom display carts for SCAT each year. Devising the best way to show off their product is a challenge we look forward to, and working with master craftsmen who bring our vision to life is especially thrilling when we see the final product at industry trade shows like SEMA or PRI.

apparel

We design several swag items each year for SCAT; in addition to the creative aspect, we also source the apparel and handle production and shipments for them.
