the midnight oil group produced a half-day photo and video shoot at the salon. Our team provided creative direction, ensuring every element of the shoot was coordinated and would result in assets needed for the website. We shot photography and b-roll of stylists in action, as well as beauty shots of the salon space and retail products.

During post production, the midnight oil group provided photoshopping and color correction as needed, and we also produced a video for use on the website’s homepage.

When designing the MK Atelier salon website, we showcased the minimalist beauty of the salon space, while highlighting the special touches the owners created. From the beautiful welcome area, to the carefully curated product display, we needed to create a walk-through video in order to artfully capture the salon’s vibe. Armed with video from the shoot, the midnight oil group produced a video that greets people as soon as they visit the website, allowing potential customers to get an immediate sense of the salon’s personality.

In addition to writing the website copy, our team modified a Squarespace template with a custom design, adding special touches like gold foil accents and custom script font throughout to match the logo design.
