Narrow Way Cafe & Shop hosts ribbon cutting with Mayor Duggan, Friday, August 4

Detroit, Michigan (August 1, 2017) — Narrow Way Cafe & Shop (19331 Livernois Ave., Detroit) will host its grand opening this Friday, August 4, with a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Mike Duggan and remarks by the cafe’s owners kicking off the day’s festivities at 10 a.m.

“We are thrilled to be opening on the Avenue of Fashion, right next to Kuzzo’s,” said David Merritt, who co-owns the coffee shop with his brother, Jonathan Merritt, father, Bishop Andrew Merritt, and Sabrina Swain, who also acts at the general manager. “We want to be a totally stress-free space for the community to come to work, gather, socialize and relax.”

The 1500-square-foot cafe, which was partially funded by a $45,000 Motor City Match grant, serves Zingerman’s coffee and pastries, creative smoothies, and baked goods from Avalon International Breads. It also has printing capabilities and free WiFi for digital nomads or students in search of a welcoming work locale.

To celebrate the grand opening, Narrow Way Cafe is offering a VIP card–good for 10% off for life to the first 50 customers on Friday, August 4.  Throughout the day, patrons can enjoy a half-priced pastry with a large drink order.  Anyone who makes a purchase on Friday is encouraged to return, August 7th through the 12th, to show his receipt and save 50% (offer good for one [1] redemption).
